ISP or Internet Service Provider

ISP is the acronym for Internet Service Provider.

The ISP, as the name indicates, is the person or business that provides the equipment and the service that permits most people to connect to the internet.

There are a lot of internet service providers in the world.  Some are better than others.  As in "Animal Farm": All ISPs are created equal, but some are more equal than others.

The cost of using an ISP can range from free to $30 or more per month, depending upon a variety of factors.

AOL is a very popular and well used ISP.
